Description

Wise was set up in 2015, supporting airports and their suppliers inintegrating and testing baggage screening equipment. In 2022 we are a company that specialises in the development and end-to-end delivery of controls, automation, and data tooling.

The Software Developer role will bolster our capabilities within our Product Development department, where the ideal candidate will bring knowledge and experience that compliment our existing in-house skillsets. Wise Technical has a unique insight into how the airports and aviation industry functions which allows us to understand the niche processess and develop products that optimises the Operational and Project orientated tasks for our clients.

The Software Developer is responsible for:

  • Discussing front end design & vision internally and with clients
  • Collaborating with the rest of the Product Development team on software development tasks.
  • Building reusable components for use in current and future projects.
  • Helping to define a "Wise Coding Standard", a styling guide that we can reference to keep things concise and consistent across projects. i.e. use of colours, button styles, fonts and sizes etc.
  • Trouble shooting bugs.

Requirements

The Software Developer will ideally have experience in:

  • Front End design and drafting, using wireframes or 3rd party tools to form basic shell of any applications or UI
  • Front End coding experience, using Tailwind is a bonus
  • Laravel would be a great advantage, experience in other MVC frameworks would suffice.
  • GIT, MS DevOps an advantage but not necessary (conceptually the same as other software, but familiarity would be good.)
  • Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3, responsive design a plus
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and frameworks (LiveWire / Alpine JS: a real bonus. Vue: nice-to-have. jQuery nice to have.)
  • SEO knowledge would be great, especially if we win some work with public facing clients.
  • Experience with UX/UI design
